So we built it. A wellness studio that tells you the truth about your body — in real numbers — and then actually does something about it.
Our story
Why we made measurement the starting point, and what we want every visit to feel like.
How it works here
DEXA, RMR and VO2 Max give you a real baseline. Not an estimate, not a guess.
Treatment aimed at what the scan actually showed, rather than a menu you pick from.
Where it started
For years I kept looking for a wellness studio that actually made sense to me. I wanted a place that could tell me the truth about my body — in real numbers — and then actually do something about it.
I couldn't find it. So my husband and I built it.
Fouzia's story
My husband is that person. Rasiq will find a way to move no matter what. No gym? Fine. Late evening after a full day at work? Doesn’t matter. Travelling? He figures it out.
I’m not like that. I need the right environment, the right conditions, the right reason. And for a long time I thought that was a character flaw — that I just wasn’t disciplined enough, or consistent enough, or the right kind of person.
Then we got a DEXA scan.
For the first time I wasn’t looking at a number on a scale that told me nothing. I was looking at actual data — fat mass, lean muscle, visceral fat, bone density. A real picture of what was happening inside my body. And something shifted.
It wasn’t motivation. It was clarity. When you know your actual numbers, you stop guessing and start making decisions based on something real.
Rasiq's story
That changes you. It stops being about goals or discipline. It becomes something quieter — a decision you make once and don’t revisit. He’s seen the alternative and he isn’t interested in it.
Rasiq grew up watching his father live that way. His dad is 93. He has slowed down, but the foundation he built over a lifetime is still there — and Rasiq noticed that early. His health habits didn’t come from effort. They came from observation.
He weight trains. He practises MMA. And as a physician he has spent his career watching what happens when people don’t look after themselves until it becomes urgent. That’s not a reality he’s willing to accept for himself, and it’s not one he wants for the people who walk into Nawra.
Why we built NAWRA
The medical background of a physician. The precision mindset of a technologist. A shared belief that people deserve real information about their own bodies rather than guesswork and generic advice.
So that’s what Nawra is built around. DEXA, RMR and VO2 Max so you know what’s actually happening inside your body. Treatments chosen because of what your scan showed, not because they were next on a list. And a re-scan afterwards, so you find out whether any of it worked.
None of it is guesswork. All of it is grounded in data.
نَوْرَة
The name
In Arabic, nawra describes a very specific moment — the instant the flower opens. Not the seed, not the slow work underground, not the waiting. The moment it becomes what it was always going to be.
That’s what we built this place for.
